Paper Abstract:      This poster presents an overview of a study that investigated student and instructor perceptions of personal mobile devices usage in the classroom and policies for appropriate practices. The study was implemented in two undergraduate courses taught in two distinct countries namely Brazil and United Arab Emirates. Based on a survey administrated to the students in these two countries, this poster also presents preliminary results on their suggested policies. On completion of the study, the researchers expect to discuss policy recommendations based on student and instructor perceptions and make a contribution towards bring you own device or BYOD policies.
